The Woodlands Pediatric After Hours Care

If your child is sick after business hours, consult Pediatric Advisor for advice. If your issue is urgent (cannot wait until next business day) and you need to speak to the Pediatrician or Nurse Practitioner on call, dial 281-537-3462, option 0 to have a provider return your call.

Forest Pediatrics is open for walk-in sick visits on Saturdays from the first Saturday in November to the last Saturday in February from 9am-1pm. No appointment is necessary. The Saturday clinic is not open on holiday weekends (after Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s).

After Hours Urgent-Care

For Urgent-Care After Hours Treatment, we recommend Urgent Care For Kids, First Choice ER, Physicians ER, Woodlands Emergency Center, Priority Emergency, HEB RediClinic, CVS MinuteClinic, or Walgreens Take Care clinic. The clinics at HEB, Walgreens, and CVS are for minor illnesses only.

Urgent care facilities can diagnose and treat most common Pediatric illnesses and conditions without the wait time of a hospital ER. Most free-standing Urgent Care Centers provide x-rays, suturing or stapling of lacerations, and full lab testing.

Hospital-based Emergency Room Care (St. Lukes, Texas Children's, The Woodlands Memorial Hermann, or Conroe Regional) is recommended for extremely high fevers, excessive vomiting, complicated bone fractures, large lacerations or lacerations on the face, seizures, head trauma with loss of consciousness, large burns, poisoning or overdose, serious allergic reactions, respiratory distress in infants less than 6 months, scrotum pain, or twisted testicles. If you are not sure where to take your child, call an urgent care center close to you and they will let you know if they are able to provide the care needed or will direct you to an ER based on your child’s symptoms.

Forest Pediatrics

If you have a question for the nurses or providers, please call the office during business hours and leave a message on the nurses' voicemail at extension 11.

Messages left before noon will be called back before lunch. Messages left after noon will be called back before the end of the day.

The nurses do not usually answer directly when the phones ring, as they are usually busy with patients in the office. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Please use the Pediatric Advisor for information on many infant, children and teen health issues and concerns.
